Skillate alternative: a standalone voice screen you can try today

11/3/2026 • 4 min read

Skillate built resume parsing, candidate matching, chatbot screening and scheduling. In 2022 it was acquired by Sense, so today it is bought as part of a larger candidate engagement platform.

That is fine if you want the whole platform. If what you need is a better first screen, you end up evaluating a suite to get one step. And the step you get still ranks people on resume keywords and typed chat answers.

The short version

  • Signal: Skillate scores resumes and text chat answers. Greet scores a spoken conversation built around the job.
  • Buying: Skillate now comes as part of Sense. Greet is a standalone tool with public pricing: $99/month for 100 sessions.
  • Setup: Greet works next to your current ATS. You do not switch anything.

What Skillate is

Skillate, based in Bengaluru, is an AI recruitment platform with resume parsing, candidate matching, chatbot screening and interview scheduling. Sense acquired it in 2022, and it now serves enterprise and mid-market employers in India and the US as part of Sense.

It is good at the top of the funnel: parsing and matching resumes at scale, then handling the back-and-forth of screening questions and scheduling by chat, with Sense’s engagement tools around it.

Where it falls short

From the acquisition announcement and its own pages:

  • Match scores rely on resumes and keywords. A well-written resume ranks high whether or not the person can do the work.
  • Chatbot screening is text. You learn what candidates type, not how they speak.
  • It is part of a bigger platform now. You buy it through Sense, alongside a wider product.

What Greet does instead

Hear the candidate, not their keywords

A resume says “excellent communication skills”. Greet lets you check. Candidates talk to an AI interviewer from a browser or phone, and it asks follow-ups when an answer is thin. Greet can also call them. For phone and customer-facing roles, how someone sounds under a little pressure is the signal that matters.

Put them in a real situation

Write up to 10 questions or scenarios. The AI can play the role: a customer asking why a delivery is late, a patient disputing a bill, a caller who wants to cancel. The candidate handles it live, and every candidate gets the same scenario.

One tool, no platform change

Greet adds the screening step on top of what you run today. Share a link in your job post, or import a CSV and send unique links. Connect Greenhouse, Lever, Workday, Ashby, BambooHR and others via the API when you want results to flow back, or just export them as CSV or PDF.

A score with evidence attached

You define the assessment blocks: knowledge, communication, English level, problem-solving. Each session returns a match rate, a written summary, a transcript and, on Pro and above, the recording. When a hiring manager asks why someone was rejected, you can play them the answer.

Which one to pick

Pick Skillate (through Sense) if you want resume parsing, matching and chat-based scheduling inside a broader candidate engagement platform.

Pick Greet if resumes are not telling you who can do the job, you hire for roles where speaking is the work, and you want to add one step without buying a suite. If you need interviews in Hindi, Greet does not offer them; it runs in English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Chinese and Georgian.

Try it on one role

  1. Take a role where strong resumes keep turning into weak hires.
  2. Describe it in one sentence and let AI draft the interview.
  3. Take it yourself with Play.
  4. Send the link to the next batch and compare the scores with your resume ranking.

Create your Greet account and run it on one role.
