Interviewer.AI alternative: voice-first AI interviews, from $99
Interviewer.AI is an AI video interview platform. It scores video responses automatically and has added two-way AI avatar interviews. Pricing is public: Essential is $199 a month, Professional $399 a month.
Video-first has a cost the price tag does not show. Candidates need a camera, decent light and a connection that holds up. For a phone support or billing role, you are judging people in a setting that has little to do with the job.
The short version
- Format: Interviewer.AI is video-first. Greet is voice-first, with the camera optional.
- Price: Interviewer.AI starts at $199/month. Greet starts at $99/month for 100 sessions.
- Content: Greet sessions can include role-play scenarios where the AI plays a customer, patient or caller.
What Interviewer.AI is
Interviewer.AI is based in Singapore, with operations in India. It sells AI video interviews with automated scoring, plus two-way avatar interviews, to employers, staffing agencies and universities. Its buyers are mainly SMB and mid-market teams in Asia and globally. Enterprise plans are custom, and credit top-ups start at $150 for 50 credits.
It does that well. Pricing is published, video responses are scored automatically, and it serves universities as well as employers.
Where it falls short
From its pricing page:
- Video-first. Candidates need a camera and a decent connection.
- The entry price is about twice Greet’s. $199/month against $99.
- Video signals are sensitive to setting. Scoring based on video can be affected by lighting, camera and surroundings.
What Greet does instead
Voice is the default
Greet is an AI voice interview. Candidates join from a browser on desktop or phone, or Greet calls them by phone. The camera is optional. If you need it, turn on Camera Required and the session will not start until the camera is on and uncovered. If you don’t, nobody is judged on their kitchen lighting.
Scored on what they say
You define the assessment blocks, for example knowledge, communication, English level or problem-solving. Scores come from the dialogue and answers, and can include audio or video if you choose. Each session returns a match rate, a written summary, the transcript and the recording (recording on Pro and above).
Scenarios, not only questions
Up to 10 custom questions or scenarios per session. The AI can play the customer who wants a refund, the patient confused by a statement, or the angry caller, and it follows up when an answer is vague. For phone and support roles, this is the closest thing to a work sample.
Lower entry, more sessions
Pro is $99/month for 100 completed sessions. Enterprise is $200/month for 500, about the same as Interviewer.AI’s entry plan. Describe the role in a sentence and AI drafts the session. Press Play to try it, then share a link or import a CSV.
Works in noisy rooms
Push to Talk helps candidates in loud places. Enable Chat Option lets them type if speaking is not possible for a moment. Interviews run in English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Chinese and Georgian.
