Hubert alternative: a $99 monthly plan instead of a custom volume quote

11/3/2026 • 4 min read

Hubert interviews every applicant the moment they apply, scores them with explainable models, and can flag AI-written answers. For a large retail or hospitality employer, that is a strong offer.

The shape of the deal is the issue for everyone else. Hubert charges per candidate on a custom quote, and third-party sources report the smallest package is around 5,000 interviews a year. If you hire a few hundred people a year, you are buying for a company several times your size.

The short version

  • Price: Hubert is quote-based, reportedly from about 5,000 interviews a year. Greet is $99/month for 100 sessions, or $200/month for 500.
  • Interview: Hubert runs standard structured interviews. Greet lets you write role-plays where the AI plays the customer, patient or caller.
  • Start: Hubert starts with a quote. Greet starts with a sign-up.

What Hubert is

Hubert is a Gothenburg company that runs structured AI interviews with every applicant straight away and scores them with explainable models. It also offers an outreach agent, AI-response detection and job coaching. Its customers are high-volume employers in retail, hospitality, social care, logistics, staffing and the public sector.

It does a lot well. Scoring is explainable and auditable, it is positioned around the EU AI Act, every applicant is interviewed immediately, and it detects AI-generated answers.

Where it falls short

From its pricing page and a third-party review:

  • Pricing is quote-based and aimed at large annual volumes.
  • Contracts are sized for large employers. Smaller teams may not fit the minimum package.
  • Standard structured interviews. There is less room for custom role-plays built around your job.

What Greet does instead

Buy the volume you have

Pro is $99 a month for 100 completed sessions. Enterprise is $200 a month for 500. A credit is used only when a candidate finishes, so abandoned links cost nothing. Custom plans exist if you outgrow both.

Role-plays you write

Both tools hold a spoken interview. The difference is what you can put in it. In Greet, the AI can play a care home resident’s worried daughter, a hotel guest whose room is not ready, or a driver calling in with a missed delivery. You write up to 10 questions or scenarios, and the AI follows up when an answer is thin.

Your rubric, and the recording behind it

You set the assessment blocks: knowledge, communication, English level, problem-solving, or something role-specific. Each session returns a match rate, a written summary, the transcript and the recording, so any score can be checked against what the candidate actually said.

Built in minutes, by you

Describe the role in a sentence and AI drafts the instructions, questions and settings. Press Play to try it yourself, then share a link, import a CSV, or put Greet’s voice application form on your careers page with one script tag. Greet can also phone applicants.

The same scenarios train new hires

Once someone starts, the role-plays from their interview become practice sessions, with progress in the same dashboard.

Which one to pick

Pick Hubert if you are a large European employer interviewing thousands a year, you want per-interview pricing at that scale and strong AI Act documentation, or you need interviews in Swedish.

Pick Greet if you hire hundreds rather than thousands, mostly for English-language or other supported-language roles, and you want to write the scenarios yourself and pay a published monthly price.

Try it on one role

  1. Pick the role you hire for most often.
  2. Write the situation a new hire dreads in their first week.
  3. Press Play and take the interview yourself.
  4. Send the link to this month’s applicants and read the scores.

Create your Greet account and run it on one role.
